Ideas for selling the product online.
Ideas for selling the product online.
My ideas for selling my product online are that I could advertise my product on social network website to get people to look and then have links to the magazines online website where they can have a “sneak preview” of the magazine and then afterwards they can purchase the product.
On the website they could have the options to sign up to the website and get a subscription to the magazine, and get updates and news on the magazine, also they could just sign up for news about the product and information of when the next issue will be out for sale and where they could purchase the product. I would also get the magazine advertised by the college and sold around the college; they could also sign up to the website via the college and get information about the magazine and information of when it would be sold in the college.
I would get adverts put up on popular game sites and social sites and also on the college website, this way it is getting to the relevant target audience and also to the public who may be interested.
By getting the product advertised on social networking sites, lots of people will see the product and it would be easier for it to get them to relevant audience as you can make groups and find other groups like the wyke college group, this way information could be spread easier and faster.

Evaluation of my magazine.
Evaluation of my final product
My media product develops challenges and uses forms of conventions from other college magazines that we have seen, an example of this is that I have anchorage on my product, I used anchorage on my product because I have images on my front cover. I used anchorage to describe what the picture is and to show the meaning of the image and to show what is in the magazine, I used this a few times on my front cover.
Also I used Masthead at the top of my product to show what the title of my magazine is, the title of my product is “The W.M” this stands for The Wyke Magazine, I had to put a masthead on my product so that my target audience would know the name of my product and know what to look for when wanting to purchase it.
Also I used a layout on my front cover, this was so I could arrange my images and text on my front cover, this made it easier for me to create my front cover and to get things where I wanted them. Also this made my front cover less messy. On my front cover I have logo, this is so that my target audience know what the product is and when they want to purchase again they will recognise the logo and know the product better. Also in my front cover I have used a thumbnail image to show the reader what is further in my product, this is to try to get then to want to read on into my product, so that they buy it. I used a banner headline on my product to grab the attention of the target audience; this is to get them to want to read more into the product.
I also used a house style in my product to establish the colours of my product; this is to also to create an ink with the audience so in the future they know the colours of the product so they can find the product easier and recognise the product and create and identity for the magazine.
Institution
The type of Institution that would publish my product would be the college its self as the magazine is about them, this would make it easier for the students to get the magazine’s and it would be more relevant to them.
As the students would be getting the magazines from the college it would be easier for them to buy it and therefore more likely that they would purchase the product, also they would trust the product more as the publisher is the college that they go to and they would be more likely to buy it and also they would believe that it would help them more as it is published by the college.
Ideology
I wanted the message behind my products to be support for the college students and for the college, my product is a college magazine about Wyke College, therefore I found it relevant to write information about Wyke College for the students to read and find out more about the college and what is going on there.
I tried to make the magazine relevant for the college and college students, this was because the magazine is about wyke college and my idea was to give information about wyke in my magazine.
Audience
The audience of my product would be the students of wyke college, this is because my magazine is about wyke college. When I picked my target audience I tried to get a good representation of my product so that It would be suitable to most people.
When I created my product I had a target audience in mind, my target audience was wyke college students aged 16-19. Whilst making my product I constantly kept my target audience in mind so that I would definitely keep my product relevant to my target audience.
When I picked my target audience I kept in mind that different people like different things, there are many different social groups who are into different things, so with this in mind, I tried to make my product as neutral as possible so that I could reach as many buyers as possible and also to make more people want it and it would then be more relevant to more people.
The Socio-economic groups (SEG) of my product is D-E because this is the group that college students are in, when I picked the price of my product I kept in mind that not all college students have jobs but those who do have nothing to pay out, bills ect, but with this in mind I set the price at a comftable price so that all students would be able to buy the magazine.
When I made my product I also had to keep the VALs in mind (Value life styles) because of all of the different groups I had to try to make the magazine even so that all of the groups would want to buy the product, this was hard to do but I did it to the best of my ability, but I don’t believe I achieved this very well, but I have new ideas for if I had to remake the product.
Representation
The representation of my product towards different social groups is bi-ist really as on the front cover I have a picture of a guitarist with an Avenged Sevenfold top on, most social groups would see this and turn away, chavs for example, but because this was an easy picture for me to get and was in my initial ideas I wanted to choose this, also because when walking on the site of wyke there seems to be more social groups that this would be relevant to then social groups that they wouldn’t be relevant to, so I believe what I did was a good idea is more relevant to wyke students.
